| This helicopter video of Harris Ranch near Coalinga, CA, shows part of this property degraded by power lines constructed under eminent domain. The video has been overlaid and interspersed with graphics showing boundaries, towers, easements, and significant roads. This enabled counsel to relate camera location with a large format map simultaneously visible to the court. The ability to pause the video, step back and forward frame by frame, and move rapidly to a particular location was of value during testimony by expert witness. Juries are often not able to view a disputed location first hand, and enhanced video is one method of adding a sense of place to a description. |
